Second Episode of PreRaceJitters’ Track& Field Radio Show
The second episode of PreRaceJitters’ Track & Field Radio Show picks up where the inaugural show left off, speaking with guest Shani Marks about challenging the American triple jump record, and a listener contest in submitting the boldest of track and field resolutions for 2009.

In this latest episode hosts Jay Hicks and John W. Davis introduce “9 Seconds,” a segment running down the hottest stories in track and field during the week.

Shani Marks interview
Olympic Trials champion and Olympian Shani Marks joins PreRaceJitters’ Track & Field Radio Show via cell phone from Minneapolis. An academic All-America and Big Ten Medal of Honor winner, Marks graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2002, earning a master’s degree in kinesiology with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

The professional triple jumper discusses training in the land of 10,000 lakes, her Beijing Games experiences, as being her life including married to former Minnesota Gopher football player Ron Johnson, a former NFL player now playing in Orlando with the arena football league. The U.S. Olympic Trials champion also discusses challenging the American Record triple jump record and other goals for the upcoming 2009 track season.
