Jenny Barringer
She is an 2008 Beijing Olympian at the 3,000 steeplecheese and during the 2009 season has put together one of the most stories seasons that includes setting the collegiate mile indoor record in 4:25.91, a NCAA meet and collegiate record 3,000 meters in 8:42.03.
PreraceJitters caught up with Jenny Barringer of Colorado after clocking the fastest time in the world this season in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with 9:26.20 and just before competing in the Prefontaine Classic 1,500 meters and the 2009 NCAA Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
